Ron Roberts is President of Action Centered Training and ACT Games, of Eagleville Pa. (Near Valley Forge). Ron has invented over 35 Big and Small games and holds 5 patents. Mr. Roberts uses these games to teach executives, managers, line staff, government and military, students, learning disabled and gifted students, as well as teachers about teambuilding, communication, leadership, strategic planning, change management and process improvement.

Ron Roberts has his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and previously owned a Counseling Center for 12 years where he specialized in family counseling. Professor Roberts also teaches Organizational Communication, Leadership, Negotiations, Mgmt. Competencies and Public Speaking at Penn State University Berks and Temple University.

Ron has appeared on CNN Live, ABC and NBC (Local Affiliates) in Arizona where he challenged over 2000 members of Mensa, the high IQ society, with his famous ‘Guinness Book World Records’ 36 Ft. Human Chinese Checker Game board.

Prof. Roberts has appeared in the July 2002 edition of Newsweek Magazine (The Tips section) and Games Magazine as a result of winning the prestigious Dr. Toy and A Parent’s Choice awards. Mr. Roberts has recently appeared on QVC Shopping network where he displayed and sold his new Giant version of “Give & Take.”

Professor Roberts has also invented several nationally recognized award winning board and card games. These include “Flip ‘em!” (the 3 D Tic-Tac-Toe board games), “Picture + This” (the hilarious habit-forming picture word board game), “Give & Take™” (the sharing social skills game); “Out of Control™” and “Fast Word” card games; and there are several new games in the works.

Ron is married and has 4 children and 2 step children whom he regularly uses for guinea pigs to test his games. He and his wife, Diane, live outside of Philadelphia.


Diane Roberts, B.S Computer Technology, Thomas Edison University
Director of Operations

Diane has worked for ten years in the computer field doing consulting, technical support and training for major computer companies. In this capacity she trained personnel for Dupont, Merck, Sharp & Dohme, Smith Kline & French, Fidelity Bank, & Prudential Insurance to name a few. For the last 12 years Diane taught computer skills to adults and high school students. She is currently working part-time on her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. As Director of Operations and Information Services for both Action Centered Training and ACT Games, her responsibilities include training coordinator, supervisor of all accounting, in charge of shipping operations as well as IT/WEB maintenance.


Bob Rynkiewicz: BS Management and Marketing, Rutgers University
Senior Training Facilitator

Bob has worked for over 12 years in Training and Development for a major pharmaceutical firm. He has acted as a Performance Consultant with years of experience in training a Unionized workforce, and has provided training in Employee Involvement and Self Directed Work Teams, as well as Safety. Bob has designed custom training sessions to actively address the needs of his clients, and is one of ACT’s most popular trainers.


Paul "Chip" Chantry, B.A.
Senior Training Facilitator

Chip has a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Shippensburg Univeristy. Mr. Chantry has been a teacher in the Methacton School District for many years. Chip is also a professional stand up comedian and has appeared in many well know venues including New York City. His unusual and varried background give him superior qualifications for succesfully working with corporate staffing


Jim Kochalka, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
Senior Consultant and Facilitator

Jim Kochalka has been working as an executive coach and assistant to business leaders since 1990. Using as a springboard his PhD in clinical psychology and the experience gained while building a large private practice in couples and family therapy, Kochalka brings a practical and no nonsense approach to business leaders and their teams in a variety of organizations throughout the US and Canada. Using the tools of conflict resolution, relationship building, assessment, and team building, Kochalka engages clients to help them relieve pain or to pursue dreams of better individual or team performance. He has a specialty in building competencies in relationship selling.

Jim has distinguished himself as a resource to Young Presidents’ Organization where he is sought after a resource to Forum health and Chapter revitalization. Current corporate clients include Duke Corporate Education, IBM Business Consulting Services, Lehman Brothers, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Jim Kochalka holds a PhD in clinical psychology from Georgia State University. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. He is married and lives in Tampa Florida with his wife and three sons.

Jon Vroman

Mr. Clemons has held senior human resources positions at Ryder Systems Inc., The St. Paul Insurance Companies, the Franklin Mint, the University of Pennsylvania Health System and General Fiber Communications, Inc. Ed has developed HR strategies in the United States and Internationally and understands the subtle nuances of culture and its effect on learning.

A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, Ed has over twenty- six years of leadership experience. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and holds an MBA degree from Temple University. Mr. Clemons also holds certifications from the Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan, the Defense Race Relations Institute, The Center for Creative Leadership and The Human Resources Certification Institute, Senior Professional in Human Resources.

James P. Shankweiler

Jim Shankweiler has an MBA in Management from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsyvania. Jim further has 2 Bachelor degrees: BS. In Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a BS in Marketing from University of Pennsylvania.

Professor Shankweiler is currently teaches the following courses at the Penn State University Berks Campus: Skills for the Business Professional, Small Business Management, Negotiations, Project Management, Introduction to Marketing, and Retail Management to the Campus’ upper-class students. 

Jim’s specialty areas are as follows:

Peter Grazier, Ph.D.
Senior Consultant and Facilitator

After having spent years in the construction industry as a civil engineer, Peter Grazier began using employee involvement concepts in 1981 to improve productivity on construction work sites. Peter has been significantly affected by the results of involving employees directly in work improvement. Since that time, he has worked with over one hundred organizations in all industries throughout the United States and Canada, and his work had been noted in more than seventy-five publications including The Wall Street Journal.

He is the author and publisher of a best-selling book and formerly a 12-year-old newsletter on employee involvement. Mr. Grazier was honored with the prestigious President's Award from the Association for Quality and Participation for his contributions to the field.

His belief is that workers have the ability and desire to create high-performance organizations, but that this can only happen through their involvement. And his mission is to spread that word as far as possible.

Cliff Lavin, M.S., American Graduate School of International Management

Cliff Lavin is a proven Management specialist with a broad range of experience building companies from concepts to profitable operations, as well as managing their marketing and sales.
He specializes in general management issues, start-up, turn-around and has a well-known practice that focuses on marketing and sales.

As a senior level marketing strategist, Mr. Lavin brings a wealth of experience in consumer product marketing, financial services, advertising, real estate and other industry segments. His background includes assignments at General Motors, General Electric, NBC, Mattel, Foote Cone and Belding, Oakwood International and Prentice Hall Publishing. He has served as the CEO of three organizations and the senior marketing executive of many others.

Mr. Lavin’s accomplishments also include conceiving and executing strategic alliances with partners such as General Foods, Hertz, Coke, Kellogg's and Wendy's. One of his revenue production programs is studied in the Crain Publishing book, The Best Sales Promotions.

In addition to his consulting practice, Mr. Lavin teaches Global Management at the graduate school level for one of the largest Universities in the United States.

Mr. Lavin has a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Arizona.

Jerry has over 20 years experience in business management and sales. Jerry is an expert in Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking, and owns a Kayak school. Additionally, Jerry is a skilled and expert rock climber and brings a wealth of information and expertise about many outdoor activities.
